1 Formal Academic Education After PMP certification, courses offered for degree credit and related to project management. 1 hour degree credit(15-week semester) = 15 PDUs 1 quarter semester hour (10 weeks) = 10 PDUs transcript or grade report indicating a passing mark.
2 Professional Activities and Self-directed Learning Author/Coauthor PM article, textbook, or learning materials Speaker/techer on project management topic Member/moderator of project management panel discussion Project Maangement work experience Self-directed learning or research Earn between 5 and 40 PDUs; some max's may apply copies of publications, sample educational materials or program agendas.
3 PMI Registered Education Providers/PMI Components Educational programs offered by organizations (schools, consultants, corporate training departments, professional associations, government agencies, PMI Chapters and SIGs) registered with PMI and adhering to quality criteria established by PMI. registration form, certificate (REPs are solely authorized to issue PDU certificates to attendees) or letter of attendance
4 Other Provider Educational programs relevant to project management within a structured activity or course offered by organizations not registered with PMI. Number of PDUs earned are determined by the following formula: 1 contact hour = 1 PDU registration form, certificate or letter of attendance, and a brochure or course materials outlining the subject matter covered and the qualifications of the instructor/lecturer
5 Volunteer Service to Professional or Community Organizations Volunteer service to a PM organization PM-related service to a legally recognized not-for-profit 1 and 10 PDUs per calendar year 20 PDUs max per cycle letter or certificate from the organization served acknowledging the PMP for leading project tasks or participating as part of a project team.
