PDU Strategic Planning Curriculum
Strategy is fundamental to project management; there would be no sound basis for projects without strategic planning. Since strategy ultimately is where projects originate, it is quite valuable for a project manager - especially an upwardly mobile one who wants to speak the language of upper management - to develop some skill in strategic planning. At a minimum, it is extremely helpful to build some mastery of the vocabulary of strategic planning.

Many project managers get involved at some point in Project Portfolio Management (PPM). PPM lies somewhere between strategy and execution - between Strategic Planning and Project Management.
